Anton Czapla, the only son of John Czapla and Constantine Ciemiejewska (18 2199649), was born about February 1859 in Poland (Ger). He married Katharina Wojciak 19 October 1880 in Pakosc (18 2199649). She was born November 1858 in Poznan, Poland, the daughter of Nicholas Wojciak and Marianna Walczak. The family immigrated in 1882. On 23 April 1890, while the family was living in Detroit, Michigan near Katharina's brother Casimer, Anton declared his intention to become a citizen. He was naturalized 15 October 1892 in Rochester, New York.

In Rochester, Anton and Katharine lived at 524 Hudson Avenue, which was renumbered to 1058 about 1909. Around 1914 the family moved to 264 Weyl Street. Anton worked as a laborer and mason.

Anton died 16 August 1916 at the age of 58 and Katharina died 4 January 1928 at the age of 69. They are buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Anton and Katharina had nine (9) children:
