Catherine Paprocki (Walenty1), was born October 1884 in Poland (Ger) and came to Rochester, New York in 1888 with her family. She married Ignatius E Ciesielski about 1915.
Catherine was a bookkeeper at the Big Elm Dairy, 378 Exchange Street before she was married. After they were married Ignatius opened a dry goods store at 1114 Hudson Avenue. In 1922 they moved to 746 Norton Street and Catherine's brother Joseph Paprocki took over the store. Ignatius listed his occupation as carpenter. About 1924 Ignatius left Catherine. A search for him was conducted and after seven years he was declared dead. Catherine died 9 May 1943 at the age of 58 years and is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. They had no children. |
