Anton Paprocki (Wawrzyniec, Jan), was born 25 May 1860 in Karczyn, Poland and was baptised 27 May 1860 in Góra[1]. He married Katarzyna Knapolewska 15 Feb 1887 Saint Nicholas Church, Inowrocław [2]. Anton, who was a farmer[3] in Poland, and Katarzyna emigrated in 1892[3,4], sailing from Rotterdam, Holland on the S.S. Veendam[3]. They arrived at the Port of New York on 8 June 1892 and went to Milwaukee, Wisconsin[4]. They were probably going to his brother Joseph, who emigrated in 1890. In Milwaukee, Anthony worked as a carpenter[4,5]. He and Katarzyna lived on Burnhan Street[4,5]. Anthony died 8 August 1911 in Milwaukee WI, and was buried 11 August 1911 in St Adalbert's Cemetery, Milwaukee WI[6].
