John Paprotzke

John Paprotzke & Caroline

John Paprotzke, was born about March 1858^[2] in Germany. He married Caroline Melchert about 1879 in Germany^[2]. She was born about April 1855^[2] in Germany. The family emigrated in 1884^[5], 1888^[4], or 1890^[2] to Detroit, Michigan. John worked as a laborer^[2,3,4,5]. The family lived at 173 Mack Avenue^[2,3]. John died 25 February 1938 in Detroit, Michigan^[6] and Caroline died 31 July 1939 in Detroit, Michigan^[6].

John and Caroline had children:

		i	William Paprotzke, b. c. Aug 1880 in Germany^[2]; m. Emma Neubert 21 Nov 1903, Detroit MI^[1].
		ii	Augusta Paprotzke, b. c. 1883 in Germany ^[1]; m. Emil Engel 5 Nov 1902 in Detroit MI^[1].
		iii	Bertha M Paprotzke, b. c. Aug 1884 in Germany ^[2]; m. (1) Gorman, m. (2) Lester E Richards 15 Jul 1916 in Highland Park MI^[1].
		iv	Emma Paprotzke, b. c. May 1888 in Germany ^[2]; m. Edward J Schlacht 20 Jun 1908 Detroit MI^[1].
