John H Paprocki (Joseph2, Jacob1), was born 14 April 1891 in Poland. He came to Chicago, Illinois with his parents when he was about 5 or 6 years old. He married Mary Gorski June 1917 in Chicago. She was born 31 July 1893 in Chicago, the daughter of John Gorski and Rozalia Pawlowski.
John was a druggist in Chicago for twenty-seven years and a member of many organizations. He was national vice-president of the National Association of Retail Druggists and president of the Chicago Retail Druggists Association. He was also president of the Pulaski Coal Co. in Chicago. He was affiliated with the St. Stanislaus Society of the Polish Roman Catholic Union, the Holy Name Society, Polish-American Commercial Club of Chicago and was active in Democratic Politics. His name appears in 'Who's Who in Polish America' and his obituary appeared in the New York Times. John died 27 September 1947 after a heart attack in Chicago. He was 56 years old. His wife. Mary, died 20 November 1971 at the age of 78. They are buried in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois. They had five children: |
